BFA Visual and Critical Studies presents its annual open studios event. Open studios is an opportunity to view fresh new work by current students in the BFA Visual and Critical Studies program. Working in a variety of media, the program boasts an eclectic group of artists from around the world. As the exhibition sprawls across the department’s fourth floor location, visitors can expect paintings and drawings alongside experimental and interactive installations. The event’s format allows current students to break from more conventional exhibition standards, installing their work in unusual and challenging spaces throughout the floor.  

The event runs in conjunction with “On paper,” the BFA VCS senior show featuring the work of students Emma Pierce, Lee Coyne, MARS and Lester Jingyi; and, Hands Off My Books!, BFA VCS’ annual fundraiser in support of PEN America’s fight against book bans.
