"Nano Society" borrows technology’s futuristic concept of tiny, independent machines and applies it to the human world, underscoring the way in which modern society is becoming extremely fragmented. Inspired in part by the COVID-19 pandemic, it turns manipulated documentary photographs into discrete, detached 3D-printed art objects that are intended to suggest people’s increasing isolation.
