about the event

Calling all junior and senior interaction designers: make history with SVA IxD's first-ever annual Design Hackathon hosted by IxD instructor Sally Chung! Want to add another project to your portfolio over just one weekend? Interested in climate change and sustainability? During this two-day Hackathon, you'll get to ‘hack’ an issue surrounding climate change, quickly prototype an innovative digital solution, and present in front of top-notch design leaders. There will be mentors on the first day providing guidance and feedback, but there will be no lectures and no design guidelines, just a hands-on race for you and your team to create the most unique design solution and become the first-ever winners of SVA’s Design Hackathon!
