Banana Man is a series of humorous composite photographic work, visualizing the artist’s experiences living in New York City from the perspective of a fictional character. Although the images deal with problems many people face in a big city—such as loneliness, loss of identity, and isolation—Chen ultimately wants her images to leave the viewer in a more positive headspace.
