SVA Continuing Education presents faculty member Steve Brodner to discuss work from his new book, Living and Dying in America. This event will feature a talk, Q&A session and book signing. Come with ideas for projects you would like to begin.
Living and Dying in America will be available for purchase and signing during the event. The first 25 people to arrive will receive a complimentary signed book.
Steve Brodner is a graphic artist and political cartoonist who has been working since the 1970s. His work has been published in most major magazines and newspapers in the U.S. He has been on the SVA faculty since the 1990s and has won many awards in his field, including gold and silver medals at the Society of Illustrators, the Cartoonist Society’s Reuben Award and the Masters Series Award at SVA. Living and Dying in America is his second book for Fantagraphics, featuring collected work from the daily column, “The Greater Quiet,” which appears in The Nation and is available as an e-newsletter at stevebrodner.substack.com.
