MA Design Research, Writing, and Criticism Virtual Info Session

Jan 7, 2026; 12:00 - 1:00pm
Three people smile at a table in a library reading room, with tall bookshelves behind them; the two on either side point toward the person in the middle, who holds up a small blue booklet.

MA Design Research, Writing, and Criticism (D-Crit) is a one-of-a-kind graduate degree exploring the contexts and consequences of design.

Offered in both full- and part-time formats, D-Crit blends research, writing, and critical analysis to prepare students for careers in design journalism, curating, cultural programming, and strategy.

Join program Chair Molly Heintz and Director of Programming Eric Schwartau for an inside look at the program, including a spotlight on a recent alumni.

All attendees receive an $80 application fee waiver when applying by January 15, 2026, plus priority scholarship consideration.
