Sotto Il Cielo (Under The Heavens) is a 3D Animated short film about the First World War. Taking place in the Italian Alps, a few injured and abandoned soldiers are in dire need of sending a message for help behind the lines from the approaching enemy. One soldier has an idea and happens to find one remaining carrier pigeon that can deliver an important message to save the men from certain death. The audience travels alongside the carrier pigeon through this battle and delivers the important message needed. The Officer receives the message and orders his men to fire on the enemy to save the wounded soldiers. Pigeons played a crucial role in WWI and this illustrates how important these birds were to the men and the war.
