MFA Computer Arts presents a two-day thesis screening event at the SVA Theatre featuring short talks and videos of graduating students’ work. Wednesday’s screening will include 3D animation and experimental art followed by 2D animation and motion graphics on Thursday.

This showcase of over 40 thesis projects incorporates a variety of media, materials and cutting-edge technologies that address a range of topics, including: In-Between by Boning Li and Fanyu Liu, an experimental 3D animation depicting the formation of a trans-species life form; Night Market by Xinyu Sun, Chenyi Zhu and Yingyu Zhu, a traditional 2D animation raising awareness about childhood cancer while also expressing the resilience of the human spirit; and NEOBOT 2.0 by J Ma, a multimedia installation bringing the tattooing subculture to light through AR technology.

Wednesday, May 10, 7:00 – 9:00pm

Thursday, May 11, 7:00 – 9:00pm, reception to follow
