Giorgi Shalikashvili
MFA Fine Arts: 2024
Giorgi is a visual artist from Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. Currently, he resides with his wife in Brooklyn. Being influenced by his parents, both artists, Giorgi has been painting since his early childhood. He earned his BFA from Tbilisi State Academy in 2015. Giorgi works in various mediums, including oil on canvas, print, mixed media, and installation. His works are mainly abstract landscapes. Original shapes, patterns, and overlapping forms and colors imply relationships between an individual and multiplicity. Underpinning behind this vision is that for consciousness, there's a direct link between human experience and the interrelation of abstract forms. Giorgi develops a visual language that he believes can impact consciousness.
