The MFA Visual Narrative program empowers students to develop their personal and professional voices to create compelling and relevant visual narratives that excite, motivate and educate audiences while inspiring thoughtful communication across cultures. Comprised of three eight-week summer intensives in New York City and two academic years online, this revolutionary low-residency MFA program provides students with the skills and opportunity to become competitive across industries and creative careers.
Students will elevate their story-craft, professional practice, and expand their network while learning in a diverse and tight-knit community of peers, top working professional mentors and professors. The intensive summer semester experiences in New York City with full access to SVA’s resources nurture creative growth. And while expanding their language of expression with four semesters of online projects, students have the freedom to pursue their passion and live their lives—without uprooting them.
