The MFA Visual Narrative program empowers students to develop their personal and professional voices to create compelling and relevant visual narratives that excite, motivate and educate audiences while inspiring thoughtful communication across cultures. Comprised of three eight-week summer intensives in New York City and two academic years online, this revolutionary low-residency MFA program provides students with the skills and opportunities to become competitive across industries and creative careers. Students will elevate their story-craft and professional practice, and expand their network while learning in a diverse and tight-knit community of peers, top working professional mentors and professors.

This intensive summer semester experience in New York City, coupled with full access to SVA’s resources, is an excellent opportunity to nurture creative growth. While expanding the language of expression through four semesters of online projects, students have the freedom to pursue their passion and live their lives without feeling uprooted.
