Katya Grokhovsky is a Ukrainian born, New York City-based artist, educator and a founding director of The Immigrant Artist Biennial. Grokhovsky holds an MFA from School of The Art Institute of Chicago. She is a recipient of numerous residencies, including Padnos Distinguished Artist in Residence at Grand Valley State University, The California Studio: Manetti Shrem Visiting Artist in Residence at UC Davis, Windgate Artist in Residence at University of Arkansas, Ekard Artist in Residence at Bucknell University, MAD Museum Studios, Sculpture Space, EFA Studio Program, SVA Art Practice Artist in Residence, Pratt Fine Arts Artist in Residence, Ox-BOW School of Art, Wassaic Project, Santa Fe Art Institute, Watermill Center and more. She is an awardee of Brooklyn Arts Council Grants, FST StudioProjects Fund, New American Fellowship and many others.
Anna Khimasia is an independent curator and educator living in New York City. Often working collaboratively, her curatorial projects focus on under-represented bodies and voices. She was the 20323-24 Abrons Arts AIRspace Curator in Residence. Recent curatorial projects include I see you looking back at me (SK Gallery), Holding (KATES FERRI PROJECTS/Abrons Arts Center) and Drawing on Our History(Carleton University Art Gallery). Anna is the co-founder of International Arrivals (IA), a NYFA sponsored project supporting artists from countries in conflict. The IA podcast features conversations with international artists about displacement, migration, borders, and belonging and can be found on most podcast platforms. She currently teaches courses on contemporary art and performance at both UCLA and Rutgers.
