Portals to Posts: Greenwich Village Townhouses explores the fragile beauty of doorways and ironwork of historic townhouses, within a three-block radius of my home. Although much of this New York City neighborhood is landmarked, it is not spared efforts to raze its old buildings for development. Upon completion of this project, I intend to donate the resulting portfolio of photographs to Village Preservation, an organization dedicated to preserving historic townhouses and other structures in Greenwich Village. I hope that my efforts will help with the continuing struggle to preserve the rich history of Greenwich Village.
