MFA Visual Narrative and SVA RisoLAB are offering a wide range of continuing education classes for the fall 2023 semester! Attend an online information session to hear about courses focusing on Risograph printing from several different angles including picture books, graphic and digital storytelling, creative writing and comedy.

This information session gathers half of the program’s instructors and course offerings under the theme of “narrative and medium.” Another session on the theme of "tools and process" will be held Thursday, September 14, 6:30 – 8:00pm; learn more and register here.

Each session will feature short presentations given by faculty members about their respective courses. Learn how each faculty member draws on their own creative practice to inform their teaching approach. This information session will be hosted by RisoLAB director, co-founder and faculty member Panayiotis Terzis.

About the RisoLAB:

The SVA RisoLAB was founded in 2015 by the MFA Visual Narrative chair Nathan Fox (MFA 2002 Illustration as Visual Essay) and artist and printmaker Panayiotis Terzis (MFA 2015 Fine Arts; BFA 2006 Illustration) as the first dedicated educational Risograph space in NYC. Since then, the Lab has become a leading and influential space for Risograph-based independent publishing and experimental print production for artists from all creative disciplines. The lab offers a range of undergraduate and graduate as well as continuing education course offerings that are open to the public as well as an Artist in Residence program.
