Sí, es una maldición

BFA Visual and Critical Studies and student Lucy Rosa Blanca presents Sí, es una maldición (Yes, it’s a curse), on Saturday, November 22, 7:00 – 9:30pm, at FABnyc, 70 East 4th Street.
Sí, es una maldición is an experimental coming-of-age play about two Latine queer young adults living in New York. Formerly roommates and best friends, the pair become separated from each other while under the control of two god-like magical figures. The audience’s perception of reality is blurred as the plot unravels—from the delivery of questionable jokes to intense displays of emotion in the form of dramatic crying sessions. Sí, es una maldición explores themes of chosen family, mental health issues, experiences of the Global South, and a touch of religious trauma. Written in both English y Español.
