Social Enterprise Boot Camp brings together over 150 innovators and social entrepreneurs for a 2-day series of interactive workshops and networking in NYC. Workshops are facilitated by top university faculty and industry leaders in design, technology, and business. This year's workshops will cover key skills such as branding, finance, building a website, working with data, and customer development.

Boot Camp participants will learn critical business and communication skills to help them develop their venture, no matter what stage they’re in. It’s an exciting place to meet other entrepreneurs, share ideas, and build connections.

Boot Camp kicks off on Friday, November 16th, with the Networking and Pitch Competition held at the new Design for Social Innovation space in Chelsea. Attendees will be able to watch as 12 entrepreneurs pitch our panel of judges on their business ideas in hopes of winning cash and in-kind prizes. Outside of the pitch competition you will be able to mingle with other attendees and facilitators while enjoying cocktails by Bulldog Gin, delicious brews from Brooklyn Brewing, and an amazing taco bar generously provided by Dos Toros.

The workshops begin early on Saturday, November 17th, at NYU’s Kimmel Center. Workshops will be led by industry leaders from Purpose, Almighty, Lean StartUp Machine, the Social Innovators Collective, Avenue Code, HyperAkt, IndieGogo, Morrison Foerster, AMEX, and faculty from NYU, Columbia and SVA. Our closing Keynote speaker Lara Galinsky, Senior Vice President of Echoing Green, will end the day by discussing what it means to have a career with impact and her work funding social entrepreneurs. Presented by MFA Design for Social Innovation Department in collaboration with SIPA (Columbia’s School of Social of International and Public Affairs) and NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service.
