Screening

SVA Women Strong is an evening celebrating SVA women filmmakers and animators. The screening will include five short films by our women alumni, followed by a panel of accomplished women in the industry and moderated by producer Caitlin Burns, Producers' Guild of America, New Media Council. She will be joined by Terry Lawler, executive director of New York Women in Film, Jenna Ricker, director, The American Side, attorney Laverne Berry of Berry Entertainment Law and animator Biljana Labovic, TED-ED animation producer at TED Conference.

Our speakers will address a variety of issues facing women in the industry, including hiring, diverse opportunities and economic gender parity, as well as strategies for young women who are about to graduate and launch their careers. A reception will immediately follow.
