BFA Visual and Critical Studies presents “Terrains of Sound, Light and Form,” a group exhibition curated by Honors faculty member Julia Santoli (BFA 2015 Visual and Critical Studies ). The exhibition will be on view from Tuesday, May 12, to Saturday, May 30, in the Flatiron Project Space on the ground floor of 133 West 21 Street. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, May 14, 6:00 — 8:00pm.


“Terrains of Sound, Light and Form” is a group show traversing mediums of sculpture, drawing, video, and sound. These works channel imprints of locations, ecosystems, and lifeforms of nested scales: stones and clay from the Saywapata basin, dust particle microcosms, and lights under which to daydream...

  • The Flatiron Project Space, founded and run by BFA Visual & Critical Studies, is located on the ground floor of 133 West 21 Street. The gallery invites students, faculty, and industry experts to collaborate on exhibitions and other projects that highlight our rapidly expanding visual culture. Shows are held monthly and include video, performance, painting and sculptural projects.


    The gallery is open Monday through Sunday, 9 AM to 6 PM. It is fully accessible by wheelchair.
