BFA Animation presents The Undies, a three-hour screening event showcasing finished films created during the previous year by underclass students. As per tradition, the first-year class is invited to participate on the judging panel for the 2025 Undies Awards, and all audience members will have a chance to vote on the winner of the 2025 Undies Audience Choice Award.


The Undies is a platform for recognition and exposure that celebrates the creativity and artistry of animation. Prizes will be given in a total of six categories, including Best In Show, Best Animation, Best Production Design, Best Soundtrack, Best Story, and “Dirty Undies” distinctions. Awards will be juried by ballot during the event exclusively by attending SVA BFA Animation first-year students.


Doors open at 11:00am and screenings begin at 12:00pm.


The 2025 Undies Screening will be streamed online in addition to the in-person event. To watch online, visit the SVA BFA Animation Twitch channel or YouTube.
