Artist Statement:

The artists in On Nature… explore relationships between human experiences and the natural world. Working across painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, they engage themes of transformation, renewal, and the passage of time.

Some works examine how natural and human-made systems intersect and overlap—observing nature's quiet reclamation of built structures, seasonal patterns of growth and decay, and moments where boundaries between wilderness and civilization blur. Others investigate more intimate exchanges: the transformation of organic materials, the meeting of interior consciousness and exterior landscape, and transitions between isolation and reintegration.

Together, these works reflect nature not as separate from human activity but as actively entangled with it—a site of metamorphosis, memory, and ongoing exchange.
