As the fall 2025 semester winds down and winter break approaches, the SVA community is readying for a well-earned pause—but its creativity hasn’t slowed. Students and alumni across the College’s animation, illustration, and photography programs continue to share their new work, experiments, and in-progress ideas online. Below are five SVA community Instagram accounts to follow as the year comes to a close and a new one begins.

1. Sue Kim (BFA Illustration student)

Born in Korea and now in New York, Sue Kim fills her feed with work inspired by picture books, dogs, and vintage paper dolls. Her images play with color in unexpected ways, pushing familiar palettes beyond their traditional limits while maintaining a sense of warmth and nostalgia at their core. Follow her at @sansa_sue.

2. Zunyi (Zoey) Zhang (BFA Animation student)

Originally from Jiangsu, China, Zoey Zhang focuses on the quiet, emotional moments that make stories resonate—no matter the audience’s age or language, or how surreal the world on screen might be. Her work weaves delicate feelings into whimsical ideas, using animation as a way to share those observations through a carefully crafted visual lens. Follow her at @luszzy_

3. Lindsey M Sarria (BFA Photography and Video student)

Photographer, colorist, retoucher, and SVA student Lindsey M Sarria showcases portraits, film work, and everyday scenes on her Instagram account, where moody light and texture carry as much weight as the subject. The images transition between professional commissions and personal studies, providing a glimpse into a practice that’s evolving in tandem with coursework and client work. Follow her at @sarria_photography.

4. Kelly Pringle (BFA 2009 Animation)

Based on the “Space Coast of Florida,” SVA alumnus Kelly Pringle uses her Instagram to share artwork that reflects her dynamic practice and continued commitment to character, movement, and visual storytelling. Follow her at @kellypringleart.

5. Zejia (Iris) Song (BFA 3D Animation and Visual Effects student)

Holiday reels, collaborative class projects, and 3D experiments anchor Iris Song’s Instagram feed. One highlight features a group project created with classmates Alexa Jung (@bunrexale) and Jihoon Park (@jinhoongpark2), underscoring how pipeline work, teamwork, and shared credit define much of the 3D Animation and Visual Effects Department’s output.
