Persona

Persona uses composite photographs to symbolize the ways in which people separate their public and private selves, hiding their deepest feelings from the outside world. These images depict each subject twice in the same frame in their domestic space, symbolizing the disparity between the subject’s public and private self. Persona encourages viewers to think about the lives of its subjects, and more generally, about how different the public face we all present can be from our true selves.
