This beginner-level Adobe Premiere Pro course is designed to orient all types of artists (such as musicians, photographers, painters) to Premiere Pro's best practices, allowing creativity to flow with efficiency. Blending theory and practice, we will explore what turns an edit into an art form. Students will analyze successful editing samples and learn the essential techniques to create quality, sophisticated works. Copyright-free footage will be provided. This course is ideal for those who already have an art practice and are interested in innovative editing and creative editing techniques to further their expression.

Note: Lab time is included in the instructional hours; additional lab time is not available. Students cannot take equipment out or use equipment and facilities outside of class time. This course is held on campus at SVA.
