This course is a blend of theory and practice for those familiar with the basics of Premiere Pro and who seek to enhance their editing skill set. We will analyze successful editing samples and explore an assortment of techniques (automating sequences, multicam editing, keyframing, visual effects, and audio mixing) to create an array of edits and scenes. The completion of personal projects is encouraged; however, copyright-free footage will be provided. This course is ideal for those interested in increasing their fluidity with professional editing techniques.
PREREQUISITE: A basic familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro.
NOTE: Lab time is included in the instructional hours; additional lab time is not available. Students cannot take equipment out or use equipment and facilities outside of class time. This course is held on campus at SVA.
