DICDIC

The Digital Imaging Center is a treasury of technological resources assembled in one location, serving full-time, matriculated undergraduate students majoring in advertising and graphic design, as well as students registered in classes held in the DIC.

Part of the creative process is the final output and presentation of the work. The industry-standard printers and copiers of the Print Lab provide the electronic and manual tools to bring projects to life. The print lab is located on the ground floor of 209 East 23rd Street.

    What Can You Print?

3D printing has the ability to create just about anything. Our printer has dimensions of 13’x9.4’x11.8. It cannot print a file any larger than that. Our filament is PLA, which is one of the standards in the industry.

The DIC does not condone nor allow the printing of anything that can cause bodily harm to others. Printing will be monitored and any print that could be classified as a weapon will be halted and reported immediately.

A Note On 3D Printing Time

There is no such thing as a fast 3D print job. If you are planning to have a model be 3D printed, this could span over a few hours to even a day long. We cannot control the duration of how long it would take to print a file.

    Please plan your time accordingly.
