A typical "arts and crafts" night with more hands-on art materials centered around relaxing and expressing creativity in a way people might not usually think of during the narrow requirements of school and homework. This will also include revealing the winner of a contest!

Students are invited to bring their own paper and use our materials, and learn how to create their own scrapbooks. Simple bookbinding techniques will be taught to encourage people to reuse materials.

Music brings people together, and music is a big part of Latine culture! It'll be a great opportunity to come together and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

A collaboration between Wellness Club and Scrapbook Club, where members come in, relax, and do some journaling and scrapbooking with materials provided.

Join the Trainer's Club in a typical karaoke night, but Pokemon themed and with a bit of spooky influence! The event will be accompanied by a costume contest to get trainers in the Halloween spirit and relax while being their favorite characters!

Come carve pumpkins with the club, eat snacks, and watch a movie! They will also briefly discuss how to get more involved with the fridge and any pressing service updates.

Lydia Nguyen is an SVA cartooning professor specializing in manga and will arrive to give a presentation, talk, and answer questions about different early periods in the history of Japanese manga.

Students will have time to make their own papel picados, with a few printed instructions and videos! A fun cultural celebration!

Play Halloween-style Jackbox!

Celebration of Día de los Muertos by commemorating our loved ones and bringing offerings that honor our heritage and ancestors. The club will be crafting Nichos (small shadow boxes that represent and honor the life of a lost loved one, featuring a photo or drawing of the individual) and papel picado (traditional tissue-paper banners). Members will be encouraged to bring their own photos of their loved ones and found objects to decorate their nicho boxes.

One of the biggest struggles in Cosplay is makeup, due to the different features within the community and the complexity of the process. We have a lot of nationalities and diverse features to guide everyone, help each other understand their faces, and practice cosplay makeup without any pressure for any character they're working on.

Your impact and your voice matter. Identify topics you are passionate about, find avenues to have your voice heard, and put words into action. Join us in collaboration with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Button-Making and Trading event where students can de-stress from midterms and create or bring in their own printed artwork to turn into buttons and trade with others!

Everyone anonymously writes a letter to a stranger and decorates it. Each person writes a message for someone else/ kind words, and the recipient picks it out of a box. All the letters will be randomly picked and received. Club members keep the letter at the end of the event and can meet their sender and connect.

La Bodega will host a de-stress event for midterms. They will be painting tote bags and eating delicious food while getting to know each other.

An opportunity for students to drop by before/after classes to get some energy through the Brazilian treat, pão de queijo, and get some coffee!

A wig can entirely change the look of a cosplay, but most importantly, the way it's styled. Wig styling can be tricky, so we want to provide a space to help each other, learn, and make progress on any cosplay people are working on. We want to provide the community with basic knowledge and elements to take the risk and start styling on their own.
