This engaging, hands-on floral design workshop is tailored to artists of any skill levels. You will create floral arrangements utilizing seasonal autumn florals, which will then serve as the inspiration for 2D drawings and collages. This workshop offers a creative space where botanical design meets visual art, encouraging exploration, experimentation, and artistic play. The goal is to ignite your creativity and introduce new ways to blend floral design with your visual art practice, offering a fresh perspective and sparking innovative ideas. By the end of the workshop, you'll not only have your artwork to take home, but you'll also leave with a custom floral arrangement, ready to enjoy. Whether you're an experienced artist or just beginning your creative journey, this workshop creates a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone to experiment and grow.
NOTE: Basic drawing materials will be provided to help guide your creative process; you may bring any specialized tools or materials you would like to incorporate. This course is held on campus at SVA.
